3-Strand Solidarity Bracelet
3-Strand Solidarity Bracelet
This bracelet is lovingly handcrafted by skilled Nepalese women artisans using repurposed glass beads from necklaces originally worn by Bonda tribe women in Odisha, India. For decades, Bonda women have adorned their bodies with strands of colorful beads, an essential part of their traditional attire, as they only wear a loincloth as their primary garment.
Beads for Life artisans give these antique beads new life, threading them onto new cotton thread to create beautiful bracelets. Each bracelet features a knotted sliding clasp, making it adjustable to fit wrists from 6.3" to 8.6".
Each bracelet is presented on a handmade paper display card, reflecting the authenticity and craftsmanship that goes into each piece. By choosing this bracelet, you are not only supporting sustainable practices and the empowerment of Nepalese women artisans , but also honoring the rich cultural heritage of the Bonda tribes.
